Organisation of the academic year 2014/15

dated of 30 June 2014

Acting on the basis of charter and regulations of Vincent Pol University in Lublin I establish the following structure of the academic year 2014/2015.

§ 1

The academic year 2014/2015 starts on 1st October 2014 and lasts until 30th September 2015.
The academic year is divided into two terms.

§ 2

I. The winter semester:
The classes start on 1st October 2014 and last until 1st February 2015.

Important dates:

22 December 2014 – 6 January 2015 – Christmas break
2 February 2015 – 15 February 2015 – winter examination period,
16 February 2015 – 20 February 2015 – break between semesters,
till 15 March 2015 – winter exam retake period.

§ 3

II. The spring semester:
The classes start on 21st February 2015 and last until 21 June 2015.

Important dates:

2 April 2015 – 8 April 2015 – Easter break
22 June 2015 – 5 July 2015 – spring examination period.
14 September 2015 – 27 September 2015 – retake examination period.

§ 4

Summer vacation starts on 6 July 2015 and lasts until 30 September 2015.

During summer vacation there is time for:

Student apprenticeship – the exact dates are specified by the deans of all departments according to the plans of studies.

§ 5

The deadline for admission of BA /MA theses is 15 May 2015.

§ 6

There are two deadlines for diploma exams:

1st deadline – until 22 July 2015
2nd deadline – until 30 September 2015.

§ 7

Additional free days in the academic year: 10 November 2014.

§ 8

The Rector of the University may set additional fee days during the academic year.
The deans of all departments are obliged to meet the deadlines in the structure of the academic year 2014/2015.
