International students studying Tourism and Hospitality Management at Vincent Pol University
in Lublin participated in a study visit on June 20, 2025, as part of their educational course
“Information and Promotion in Tourism, Hospitality and Catering.”

The students, accompanied by academic teacher Robert Mazur, who conducts lectures and workshops in this subject, actively participated in meetings and discussions with representatives of the most important tourism organizations in the city of Lublin and the region. At the Lublin Tourist and Cultural Information Centre, located at 6 Krakowskie Przedmieście Street, they learned about the work of tourist information offices and the activities of this center, which was awarded by the Polish Tourist Organization and ranked first in the competition for the Best Tourist Information Centre in the highest four-star category.
Students also had the opportunity to gain insights into various forms of tourism promotion in the Lublin Voivodeship during a meeting with Ms. Dorota Lachowska, Director of the Lublin Regional Tourist Organization.

It is worth noting that Vincent Pol University in Lublin has been a long-standing member of this organization, actively participating in the promotion of the Lublin Region.
Another important part of the “study tour” was a guided walk through the Old Town using audio guides provided by the Lublin Regional Tourist Organization (LROT). Thanks to the English-language information about tourist attractions, students were able to learn about the most important sights of Lublin’s beautiful Old Town.
During this walk, the group also visited the “Grodzka Gate – NN Theatre” Centre, where they were introduced to the activities of this leading cultural institution dedicated to the preservation of cultural heritage and education in Lublin.

Another highlight of the walk was a visit to the Tourist Inspiration Centre at 1/3 Jezuicka Street, which operates within the Local Tourist Organization Metropolia Lublin. In an engaging and appealing presentation, a Centre employee (an alumna of our University!) shared various forms of tourism promotion initiatives conducted by the Centre, which captured the students’ interest.
This study tour was an important educational experience for the Tourism and Hospitality Management students, as it allowed them to verify the theoretical knowledge acquired during lectures and workshops with the practical activities of tourism organizations engaged in tourist information and promotion.
