Anastasia Reutova in first place again

Anastasia Reutova, a first-year Physiotherapy student at Vincent Pol Academy, can boast impressive achievements. Last weekend she took 1st place at the Academic Rowing Ergometer Championships. And that’s not her only success. Among her achievements are first place in the World Cup in powerlifting triathlon and two gold medals in powerlifting doubles won at the Academic Championships of the Lublin Region.

How often do you train and how much time do you devote to it?

– I mainly do strength training, triathlon. The workouts are very exhausting and long, because they are weight training. In addition, I follow a proper diet. I train three or four times a week.

What are your sports goals for the near future?

– My immediate goals are the Lublin Regional Championships in April, followed by the Polish Championships in Katowice in May.

Your favorite trophy from sports competitions so far is?

– All trophies are very valuable and important, because each competition is a new goal and a new experience. Each medal or cup represents a memory and the achievement of a specific goal.

How do you deal with stress and pressure before competitions?

– At the beginning of every competition I feel stress, especially at the first competitions, but with time I gain confidence and the stress becomes less. It’s a matter of practice.

Which victory in your sports career was the most satisfying and challenging?

– All victories are satisfying and important for me. I believe that it is necessary to go to the goal in small steps and do nothing by force. Behind every success is very hard work.

What are your main interests?

– I am mainly interested in sports, and sometimes I travel. I don’t like lying on the beach, even vacations I spend very actively.

Where did you get the idea to train on a rowing ergometer, since you mainly strength train?

– I train on the ergometer completely by accident. I went to a competition and won it (laughs).

What sport do you associate your future with?

– Power triathlon. This is what I want to develop in, there is always something to do, something to improve, some goal to achieve. I like this sport very much.
