The examination centre at Vincent Pol University was open on 1st June 2023, and is authorised to conduct exams in Polish as a foreign language on the basis of the decision of the Minister of Education and Science.
Vincent Pol University was given a two-year-permit for organising the state certificate examinations in Polish as a foreign langauge at the following levels of language proficiency:
A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 – exams for adults
A1, A2, B1, B2 – exams for children and teenagers

B1 and B2 level of competence – examination for adults.

On the exam
All foreigners and Polish citizens permanently residing abroad may take the state certificate examination regardless if, where, how and how long they have prepared for the examination.
All persons who on the day of the exam are 18 years old can take the state certification examination for adults.

B1/B2 form

Regulations

A candidate has to register via online registration, form available from 9 am on VPU website.
A candidate has to fill in the whole form, and he / she takes full responsibility for the accuracy of the personal details in the registration form. The personal details from the registration form are mandatory for issuing a certificate for an examinee who has passed the exam.
First-come-first service rule.
A candidate who has sent a registration form will receive the confirmation by e-mail, providing that the registration form was sent correctly. The confirmation is not equivalent to the registration for the exam. A candidate has to wait for an e-mail from VPU Examination Centre (osrodekjpjo@pol.edu.pl) confirming the completion of the registration process. The e-mail will confirm that a candidate has been registered or he / she is on a stand-by list. A candidate will receive also the bank account number and the information on the fee he / she has to pay for taking the exam.
If a candidate does not receive the aforementioned e-mail from the Examination Centre, that means a candidate either has given a wrong e-mail address or was not registered for the exam because the list of candidates has been already closed.
A candidate has to pay the fee for the exam within 48 hours, and he / she covers the costs of money transfer. A candidate has to send the confirmation of payment to the Examination Centre by e-mail (osrodekjpjo@pol.edu.pl).
A person who has not paid the exam fee will be crossed off from the list of registered candidates.
When a candidate registers for the exam and pays the examination fee, he / she cannot change neither the place where he/she will be taking the exam nor the exam level.
The exam is held only if at least 20 candidates are registered for the exam.
If the exam was cancelled, registered candidates will get refunds . The money will be transferred to a bank account indicated by a candidate.
The candidates who have a disability or special requirements have to inform the Examination Centre that they will need special arrangements during the exam (see: specjalne potrzeby in a registration form). A candidate who has a disability or special requirements has to attach scans of medical certificates, and send them together with a registration form.

Fees for examinations:

• the equivalent of 150 euros in PLN – exam for adults, B1 level
• the equivalent of 180 euros in PLN – exam for adults, C1 level

The fee for issueing a certificate is the equivalent of 20 euros paid in PLN (an examinee pays the above fee after having passed the exam).

The certificate is an official document confirming the knowledge of Polish. All foreigners and Polish citizens who permanently reside abroad may take the examination in order to prove that they have achived a certain level of proficiency in Polish.

Egzamin pisemny

Rozumienie ze słuchu
W tej części egzaminu zdający wysłuchują nagrań jeden raz lub dwa razy. Podczas słuchania rozwiązują zadania: zaznaczają prawidłowe odpowiedzi lub uzupełniają luki w tekście albo odpowiadają na pytania. Zadania testują stopień zrozumienia słuchanego tekstu.
Rozumienie tekstów pisanych
W tej części egzaminu zdający czytają teksty. Zadanie polega na uważnej lekturze tekstów (teksty jednozdaniowe, akapity, dłuższe teksty) i zaznaczeniu, bądź udzieleniu właściwej odpowiedzi na pytania dotyczące każdego z nich. Zadania sprawdzają ogólne i selektywne rozumienie tekstów.
Poprawność gramatyczna
Rozwiązanie zadań w tej części egzaminu polega na rozpoznaniu i zaznaczeniu prawidłowej formy (zadanie wyboru) bądź utworzeniu i wpisaniu poprawnej formy gramatycznej. Celem tej części testu jest sprawdzenie umiejętności praktycznego użycia poprawnych form gramatycznych, dlatego też zadania mają najczęściej formę krótkich tekstów, które stanowią logiczną całość.
Wypowiedź pisemna
Zadaniem zdających jest wybór jednego z zestawów zadań i napisanie tekstów, zgodnie z poleceniem. Tematy są tak sformułowane, aby nie wymagały wiedzy specjalistycznej. Celem tej części egzaminu jest sprawdzenie umiejętności formułowania wypowiedzi pisemnej, a nie badanie wiedzy zdających na określony temat.

Egzamin ustny

W tej części egzaminu zadaniem zdającego jest stworzenie wypowiedzi ustnej w oparciu o różnorodne materiały – tekstowe i ikonograficzne. Zdający losują jeden z trzech zestawów, z których każdy składa się z dwóch lub trzech zadań, a następnie wykonują zadania przed komisją.
