INTENSIVE ONE-YEAR PREPARATORY COURSES

Spend a year in lublin learning Polish with us!

INTENSIVE ONE-YEAR COURSES WITH “ZERÓWKA”

We invite you to intensive, one-year Polish language courses. In response to the different needs and advancement levels of the people who would like to learn Polish, we offer courses at three levels of advancement:

  • Course for beginners

 

An intensive course during which students will develop their language competences on a basic level, which will make it easier for them to function in Poland and prepare them for further linguistic struggles. The goal of the course is to achieve a minimum level of A1+/A2.

 

You can join this group if you don’t know Polish.

  • Course with “Zerówka” – lower middle group

 

An intensive course preparing for studies, work in Poland, state exams and other Polish language exams, as well as for people wanting to expand their language competences. The aim of the course is to achieve at least B1 level.

 

Required level: A2 or fluent knowledge of Slavic languages.

  • Course with “Zerówka” – upper middle group

 

An intensive course preparing for studies, work in Poland, state exams and other Polish language exams, as well as for people wanting to expand their language competences. The aim of the course is to achieve B2 level.

 

Required level: B1

The level of advancement is verified on the basis of a placement test.

All courses are conducted in accordance with the standards and requirements relating to individual levels of language proficiency in the field of knowledge of Polish as a foreign language regulated by acts (The Act on the Polish Language of June 12, 2015, and the Regulation on Examination in Polish as a Foreign Language of February 26, 2016.)

Students of preparatory courses for studies can also choose additional classes in the fields of: geography, economics, sociology, psychology or computer science, as well as a wide range of classes in medical fields: Cosmetology, Physiotherapy, Nursing or Midwifery depending on the planned field of study in which they intend to pursue higher education in the future. They participate in these classes as free listeners, with students who are already studying at the university. Thanks to that, students gain basic knowledge of the subjects they will study in the future, which will help them during their studies at university.

The course covers 300 hours per 1 semester.

GROUP COORDINATOR:

 

During the entire learning period, participants will be assigned to a group coordinator.

CULTURAL PROGRAM:

 

In addition to classes, a cultural program is planned for course participants:

 

  • Exploring the Old Town in Lublin;
  • Visiting Lublin Castle;
  • Visiting The Castle Tower (Donjon);
  • A visit to the Center for the Meeting of Cultures;
  • A visit to the Museum of the Manor House of Vincent Pol;
  • A visit to the Lublin Village Open Air Museum;
  • A trip to the State Museum at Majdanek;
  • A trip to the Botanical Garden of Marie Curie-Skłodowska University;
  • and others.

The route: Lublin – Nałęczów – Kazimierz Dolny – Puławy – Piotrawin – Lublin

Visiting historical sites:

  • Nałęczów’s Zdrojowy Park
  • Old Market Square in Kazimierz Dolny
  • Czartoryski Palace in Puławy
  • Church of St. Thomas and St. Stanislaus in Piotrów
  • The Piotrawin quarry

Dinner and a friendly meeting by the bonfire at the training and recreation center.

At the request of course participants, we can organize other trips.

Our university cares about the health of students. Course participants can take part in sports sections conducted at the Academy: volleyball, football, table tennis, boxing, kickboxing, and gym.

 

Additional sports activities and visits to sports complexes can be organized at the request of participants.
