Passion, Development, and Helping Others – The Story of Nazar Senenko, a Vincent Pol University Physiotherapy Graduate

Nazar Senenko, a physiotherapy graduate from Vincent Pol University, discovered his passion for medicine back in high school. Thanks to his studies at VPU and participation in numerous courses and internships, he gained the knowledge and experience that now enable him to help others. His story is proof that studying at our university opens doors to professional growth and fulfilling dreams.

Why did you choose Vincent Pol University?

I became interested in medicine during high school. I dreamed of studying medicine, but later I learned about the physiotherapy program at Vincent Pol University. After two years at a medical college, I decided to try this field in Poland.

What does the university remind you of?

The university reminds me of a large number of students (laughs). There were really many of us in the year, and the size of the university was impressive, especially since I come from a small town. The university is also equipped with modern physiotherapy equipment, which, as far as I know, is among the most advanced in the eastern part of the country.

How did your professional career develop after graduation?

While still studying, I started participating in various courses. I worked as a masseur at a SPA near Wrocław, and after moving to Lublin, I started working as a mobile rehabilitation therapist, visiting clients. I still work this way today – it’s not my main source of income, but I really enjoy my job, treating it as a hobby. Helping people and seeing them experience relief from pain gives me great satisfaction.

What do you do now?

I am a representative for one of the largest mobile networks in Poland. Unfortunately, for about a year now, I have been dealing with an injury to my left wrist, so I recommend that all physiotherapists take care of their own health, not just their patients’. I still have my regular patients whom I see a few times a month.

Do you see your future in physiotherapy?

If I manage to overcome my wrist injury and inflammation, I plan to open my own practice. I also see myself as a trainer and lecturer – I enjoy passing on knowledge to others and willingly share my experiences gained through courses and during my studies.

Would you recommend studying at Vincent Pol University?

It is definitely worth studying at VPU. The lecturers are experienced practitioners with vast knowledge. I especially recommend Mrs. Maruszewska, Mrs. Bryzek, and Mr. Sokołowski, who was my lecturer and thesis advisor and maintained high standards, which I remember very positively.

Did you participate in any extracurricular activities at the university?

Yes, together with Mrs. Maruszewska and Mrs. Bryzek, we visited specialist kindergartens where we cared for children needing special assistance. These were our internships – we organized competitions for them, and I received several acknowledgments for participating in these events. We also traveled to Kazimierz Dolny to help prepare participants for a rally. These were very valuable experiences.
