After the recent defeat in Lodz against KS Budowlani Commercecon Lodz 52:15, Vincent Pol University rugby team Budowlani II Lublin are not giving up and are preparing for another league clash. What are the conclusions after the loss and the goals for the new season? This is what team president Jacek Zalejarz talks about.
What conclusions did you draw after the last defeat?
– We definitely need to improve team cooperation in defense, which proved to be a key element of the competition. This was the main element that failed. Moreover, the first match after a long break was a challenge, not all players were fully focused. However, I am confident that we will improve these aspects in the upcoming game and we will see an increase in efficiency in team defense.
What are the team’s goals for this season?
– Our main sporting goal is to win as many games as possible. We would like to at least repeat last season’s result of finishing second overall in the AZS Rugby 7 Cup, but our team also has ambitions for first.
What do you consider to be the team’s biggest success?
– The biggest success is that the team exists. It is an amateur activity, so each of our players dedicates their free time to participate in training and competitions. It is their passion and hobby.
Are you looking for new players?
– Yes, we warmly welcome anyone who would like to try out for our team, regardless of sporting experience. If you like competition and have a minimum of physical fitness, you are welcome to come to training. We train on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm on the pitch at 11 Krasińskiego Street.

– The match against Rugby Team Olsztyn will take place this Saturday, 16 March at 2 p.m. on the pitch at 6 Magnoliowa St. You are welcome! We are counting on the support of the audience in the stands. We encourage everyone willing to cheer and support our team and to join our team!
