Develop your career with the Erasmus+ program

Want to learn about new cultures, traditions and languages? Or maybe test your skills in practice? The Erasmus+ program and the Vincent Pol University give you such an opportunity.

The Erasmus+ program was established at the initiative of the European Union. It offers support to pupils, students, teachers, lecturers and volunteers in the implementation of international projects that aim to develop competencies.

Vincent Pol University has been participating in the Erasmus+ program since 2008 with an extended Erasmus University Charter.

Thanks to this, our students can go to study in other countries participating in the program for a period from 2 months (or one academic semester or trimester) to 12 months of physical mobility. They can also take advantage of overseas internships or placements for a period of 2 to 12 months of physical mobility.

Any student, especially students who cannot participate in long-term physical mobility for study or work placements, can benefit from shorter-term physical mobility combined with virtual mobility (short-term mixed mobility).

In addition, any student can participate in intensive blended programs. In these cases, the physical mobility must last between 5 and 30 days and must be combined with a mandatory virtual component that allows teamwork and exchange of experiences on the basis of collaborative e-learning. The blended mobility must award at least 3 ECTS credits for study.

This offer benefited Kseniya Hupanava, a third-semester Tourism and Hospitality student at VPU

– I went to Greece.I did my internship in a five-star hotel on the island of Rhodes, which also has its charms, but most importantly I improved my English and met new people,” Kseniya Hupanava says.

Who can benefit from Erasmus+?

Any undergraduate and graduate student who is studying at our university full-time or part-time, can apply for a trip under the Erasmus+ program. To participate in the program, you must have completed your first year of study. You can go for internships or studies several times, but the total duration of the trips cannot exceed 12 months for undergraduate studies and 12 months for graduate studies (including previous participation in the LLP-Erasmus program).

Also, graduate students can take advantage of the program. This type of trip must take place within a year of graduation, and its length will be included in the total duration of trips at the respective level of study (see paragraph above). The trip must be applied for in the final year of study.

Any student who takes part in the programme can apply for a scholarship for the trip.
Our student Ksenia received a stipend, free accommodation and food.

“Everything worked out well, so I heartily recommend such an experience to all students,” Ksenia adds. And she announces that she intends to go abroad again under the Erasmus+ programme.
