Why study and live in Lublin? According to the latest ranking by the Business Insider portal, Lublin appears to be a real gem in terms of quality of life. Taking an impressive second place in the list of provincial cities, Lublin has overtaken Warsaw, Kraków or Wrocław.
The ranking evaluates 16 provincial cities in Poland. Information from the Central Statistical Office, the Chief Inspectorate for Environmental Protection or the National Health Fund is taken into account. Data on residents’ wages, unemployment levels and housing prices are analysed. Also under scrutiny is the crime rate, air quality or waiting times for appointments with doctors under the National Health Fund.
Lublin was overtaken only by Olsztyn, which came first this year. In turn, Poznań came third. Lublin’s high marks are confirmed by its residents themselves and the young people studying here.
– Lublin has a unique charm,– says Lublin resident Wioleta Suska. – The proximity of nature, the charming Old Town, the rich cultural offer and the exceptional pubs give life in Lublin a unique atmosphere.
Heather, a Nursing student at Vincent Pol University, speaks in a similar vein:
– I recommend everyone to come and study in Lublin because you will have the opportunity to get to know different new cultures and also the possibility to find a job. Come to Lublin, it is a good place to live and study – encourages Heather.
Lublin is becoming an increasingly attractive place for students. More and more companies are establishing their offices here, and the rich sport and cultural offer means that Lublin has no shortage of opportunities for personal and professional development, as well as for interesting leisure activities. Added to this is the proximity of such attractive places as Kazimierz or Nałęczów and the beautiful Roztocze.
