Dear students, The National Security Scientific Association at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin is honored to invite you to participate in an international student scientific conference entitled “Cyber Resilience Architecture: Securing Critical Infrastructure in Light of New Threats”.
The aim of the conference is to conduct an interdisciplinary analysis of building and maintaining the
cyber resilience of critical infrastructure (CI), with particular emphasis on strategic, technological,
and legal-organizational mechanisms for securing key state systems in the face of dynamically
evolving cyber threats.
In particular, we will focus on: designing secure CI systems, sectoral risk management, and interinstitutionalcoordination in the context of maintaining the continuity of the most essential services.
Proposed topics for speakers include:
- Fundamentals of Cyber Resilience: Security architecture strategies and models in critical sectors (e.g., Zero Trust).
- OT/ICS Challenges: Security of industrial control systems (SCADA/OT) in critical infrastructure.
- Legal and Organizational Aspects: Implementation of the NIS2 Directive and its impact on operators of essential services.
- Sector Risk Management: Standards and best practices for cyber risk management in IC.
- Geopolitical Context: Cyberattacks as part of hybrid conflicts and their impact on IC business continuity.
- Innovative Security Measures: The role of AI and machine learning in preventing and detecting threats to CI.
- Crisis Coordination: Challenges for crisis management resulting from cascading IC failures following cyberattacks.
