Minister of science addressed to Lublin students: – Study in Poland. There are excellent universities here

Minister of Science and Higher Education Dariusz Wieczorek visited Lublin. He spoke to students and doctoral students from across the province about what is important for young people and what is worth changing.

The minister’s visit was part of a series of meetings with the academic community across Poland, which Dariusz Wieczorek has been carrying out since he took office. Last week, at the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University campus, the minister met with young people from our region.

The meeting was of great interest to the academic community. It was an opportunity to discuss issues of importance to students. Questions were raised about the construction of new dormitories and the renovation of current ones, the development and funding of student culture, the improvement of financial conditions for doctoral students, funding for the construction of sports facilities, opportunities for good apprenticeships, or questions about the modification of the rules for granting maintenance grants.

Minister Wieczorek responded in detail to questions posed by the academic community, referred to the Higher Education Act and offered solutions to the problems raised.

– You do not need to convince me to build sports facilities and dormitories. We are betting on the renovation and construction of dormitories. We want every student to have the opportunity to benefit from such a solution. – Minister Dariusz Wieczorek emphasised. – As far as the issues of the student aid system are concerned, it is worth improving this mechanism.

– Study in Poland! – added the minister. – ‘There are great universities and great lecturers here.
