“Aktywny Lublin” (Active Lublin). Take advantage of free classes

Do you like zumba, water aerobics or playing chess? Take advantage of the wide range of activities on offer and it’s completely free.

The free classes are organised as part of the Active Lublin project and are aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle. Classes are held at various times and in various places – gyms, schools, swimming pools, depending on the needs of a particular discipline.

The idea for the event came from the Central Organisation of the Academicki Związek Sportowy(Academical Sports Association) in Lublin Voivodeship, which is a field organisational unit of the AZS.

The organisers have planned two programmes: Active Generation aimed at people under 28 and Active Lublin for adults 18+. The project offers a range of physical activities, so you can choose the one that suits you best. You can sign up for zumba, tennis, swimming, aqua aerobics, running, self-defence lessons, boxing or chess, but the offer is much bigger.

To register your participation in the classes, simply go to the activelublin.eu website , select the appropriate discipline and day. In the form you need to provide your contact details: first name, surname, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, tick the declaration and possibly attach your parents’/guardians’ consent for your child’s participation in the sports activities. After submitting the form, the booking will be confirmed by a message which will be sent to the e-mail address provided in the application.

– The classes are very popular so you can attend several different ones. Registration starts a week before the start of the chosen classes, from 8 a.m.

says Wojciech Kołodziej, the coordinator of the Active Lublin project

The classes will be held from February to December 2024.

– Any resident of Lublin can take part after signing up, declaring that they have valid accident insurance and accepting the project regulations,”

adds Wojciech Kołodziej.

Participation in the activities is free of charge for all residents of Lublin.

The project is implemented with funds from the Civil Budget of year 2024.
