Vincent Pol University was among Lublin’s companies and institutions to receive diplomas from the Mayor of Lublin thanking them for their contribution to the development of vocational education.
Our Academy was recognised for its cooperation with the Specjalny Ośrodek Szkolno-Wychowawczym No. 1 (Special School and Educational Centre) in Lublin. This cooperation lasts for over three years. Thanks from the Mayor of Lublin, Krzysztof Żuk, were received on Thursday by the founder and Chancellor of the VPU, Associate Professor Henryk Stefanek.
– This centre hosts catering classes for our students because it offers excellent working conditions. We are very pleased that our students have the opportunity to improve their skills there – says VPU Chancellor, Associate Professor Henryk Stefanek.
As the Mayor of Lublin, Krzysztof Żuk, emphasises, vocational education in Lublin stands at a high level, which is thanks to the schools and teachers, but also to the Lublin employers who cooperate with our vocational schools.
– We have a staggering number of 217 such companies and institutions, – enumerates President Krzysztof Żuk. And he adds: – Today I have had the opportunity to thank our partners, because thanks to their cooperation with Lublin’s schools, students have the opportunity for practical vocational training, teachers and students have somewhere to train, and the curricula and equipment in the workshops are adapted to the labour market.
Our University is the only private university to receive the Mayor’s Commendation on Thursday.
We are proud of this award and of our mission to support education and the development of the local community!
The ceremony took place in the auditorium of the Zespół szkół nr 5 im. Jana Pawła II in Lublin.
