The three-day graduation ceremony for the Nursing programme at Vincent Pol University has concluded. Graduates received their Bachelor’s degrees and diplomas from the University authorities, acknowledging their effort, commitment, and serving as a reward for their hard work and determination.
– We celebrate the moment when our students become full members of the noble profession of nursing. Nurses play a crucial role in the healthcare system by being beside patients at the most difficult moments of their lives. Their work is not only about technical skills, but above all about empathy, compassion and tireless care for another human being – stressed the University’s rector, prof. Mariusz Korczyński, Ph.D. And he added: – Every patient’s smile, every “thank you” and every small health victory are moments that give meaning to this work.
Vice President of VPU, Dorota Stefanek-Langham, Ph.D., spoke about the ceremony’s symbolism. – The ceremony introduces graduates to the professional community through the symbolic presentation of the nursing cap and the solemn oath – Vice President stated.
The dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Marian Przylepa, M.D., Ph.D., professor at VPU, congratulated the graduates: – Congratulations on completing your studies at the beautiful, modern, and continuously developing Vincent Pol University in Lublin.
Among the invited guests was Francis Ngwenya, Deputy Ambassador of Zimbabwe in Germany. – With great pride and joy, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each of you on this momentous occasion. You have not only achieved academic excellence but also demonstrated resilience and adaptability in a rapidly changing world – empasized Deputy Ambassador.
The ceremony also served as an opportunity for graduates to celebrate with family and friends, reflect on their achievements, and plan for the future. The graduates expressed their gratitude to their loved ones for their support and motivation throughout their studies.
Student speeches were also filled with positive emotions and gratitude. Graduates, with wide smiles on their faces, shared their experiences from their time at university, recounting the challenges they overcame and the moments that will forever remain in their memories.
– Poland, you have shown the beauty of a world where cultures blend and tolerance flourishes. Despite the language barrier, you have welcomed us with open arms, allowing us to coexist and learn about values that unite us all. As human beings, we have shared spaces and celebrated differences, enriching our human experience – reflected Edna Carera, a Nursing graduate.
The graduation ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic year took place from Thursday, July 25, to Saturday, July 27.
After three years of study, the English-speaking students of our University received their Bachelor’s degrees. This exceptional event will long remain in the memories of all participants and their loved ones.
