12 July is an important date for our University. In 2000, by the decision of the Minister of National Education, today’s Vincent Pol University in Lublin began its activities. Just today, 12 July, we are entering our 25th anniversary, and the upcoming inauguration will be the 25th in a row.
Over the course of 25 years, our University has expanded, broadened its offer, established relationships with universities all over the world – it has turned into a thriving University with a rich educational offer tailored to the needs of the labour market. What’s more, our University has the same rights as state universities.

The University has a modern Medical Science Centre and Medical Simulation Centre, as well as laboratories equipped with the latest equipment, and thanks to cooperation with many institutions and facilities, students can undergo practical training in, for example, hospitals or hotels.
– Today’s University is a modern, rapidly developing university, which already offers 11 fields of study in Polish and 9 in English. Every year, we expand our educational offer with the aim of preparing our students in the best possible way for the current demands of the labour market. Our lecturers are excellent academics and experienced practitioners, and the teaching facilities we offer include modern classrooms, laboratories and studios equipped with the latest equipment for classes in physiotherapy, cosmetology or nursing, among others. What’s more, we are open to student-athletes. We have developed procedures for combining competitive sport with study. We enable our students to participate in various sports sections, but also offer scholarships for the most talented students, supporting their development not only in the national but also international arena. There is a Foundation for the Support of Young People at our University, which has more than once provided assistance to students in need. We cooperate with many sports clubs in Lublin. In addition, our students play in the second-league rugby team Akademia Wincentego Pola Budowlani II Lublin, and recently we have signed a cooperation agreement with the Polish Wrestling Federation, which has resulted, among other things, in the establishment of a Centre for the Training of Coaching and Refereeing Personnel – enumerates the rector of the University, Dr. Mariusz Korczyński, professor at VPU.
