VPU students gained new experience at a conference on sustainable tourism

Students of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Vincent Pol University took part in the ‘Cooperation-Innovation-Sustainable Tourism’ conference held at the Lublin Conference Centre.

The event was organised on 6 June by the Polish Tourist Organisation in cooperation with regional tourist organisations. It is part of a two-year project to promote sustainable tourism in Poland.

– Very specific and precise knowledge is conveyed at such conferences. Topics discussed at the conference included sustainable development, artificial intelligence and an analysis of what is happening in tourism in Lubelskie Voivodeship. The knowledge was specialised and I think that students can find interesting topics for their master’s theses at such conferences – emphasises Dr Jerzy Wójcik, lecturer in the Tourism and Hospitality Management Department at Vincent Pol University.

The conference had a nationwide character and brought together representatives of the most important institutions related to tourism from all over the country. Participants had the opportunity to take part in substantive discussions on sustainable tourism issues in the region. It was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, make new contacts and discuss innovative solutions in the field of tourism.

The participation of students from VPU in the conference “Cooperation-Innovation-Sustainable Tourism” was not only a valuable educational experience, but also an opportunity to actively engage in discussions on the future of tourism in Poland. The event highlighted the importance of education and cooperation in promoting sustainable tourism development.
