The conclusion of an art and literary competition, music and dance performances, quizzes, games and competitions for the youngest – such attractions await everyone on 10 June. On that day, a Dogotherapy Day will be held at our University.
– More than 170 works from 14 institutions all over Poland were submitted to the ‘Dog Superpowers’ competition,’ says dr Judyta Popiołek, head of the Academic Centre for Therapy and Integral Development at VPU, a specialist in canine therapy working for the Canituus Foundation, which organised the competition.
As dr Popiolek points out, the variety of entries was amazing and inspiring, and each work was unique and full of personal expression.
– Such great interest in our ‘doggy’ competition is proof that love and affection for animals knows no boundaries and can unite people regardless of differences,’ adds dr Popiołek. – Six short stories about dog superpowers were also submitted, one of which was awarded.
The jury that evaluated the submitted works included the President, founder and Chancellor of VPU, Associate Professor Henryk Stefanek, Vice President of VPU and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Dr Mateusz Stefanek, Professor of VPU, and representatives of the Canituus Foundation, the organiser of the event, including dr Judyta Popiołek.
