Vincent Pol University in Lublin and the Polish Wrestling Federation have signed a Letter of Intent to establish at the University a Centre for the Training of Coaching and Refereeing Personnel of the Polish Wrestling Federation for South-Eastern Poland.
– As athletes, we have one common goal – to improve sporting performance. To achieve this goal, we need excellent trainers. The agreement signed with Vincent Pol University will be a way to didactically support the wrestling skills of future coaches and train new generations. I would like to thank the authorities of Vincent Pol University for their willingness to cooperate – said Andrzej Supron, President of the Polish Wrestling Federation.
The centre, which will be based at Vincent Pol University, aims to launch coaching and refereeing courses. In the longer term, it is planned to create a coaching course in wrestling. The popularity and high level of wrestling sport in the Lubelskie Voivodeship were the key arguments for the creation of the Centre.
The signing of a Letter of Intent between Vincent Pol University and the Polish Wrestling Federation is an important step towards the development of wrestling in the region and the improvement of coaching and refereeing qualifications.
Our University, thanks to its unique educational offer (Vincent Pol University is the only university in the Lubelskie Voivodeship offering Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sport Science) and excellent staff, is the perfect place to carry out this ambitious project.
