Vincent Pol University is a place where diverse cultures and talents come together to create a unique community of students. One such inspiring individual is Carol Gabra, a third-year physiotherapy student who comes from abroad and actively participates in the local artistic scene, developing her passion for theatre.
Carol began her journey in theatre just a few months ago, and she has already become part of an artistic team addressing important social and cultural issues. Her involvement in theatrical projects is a testament to her courage and openness to new experiences, leading to extraordinary achievements.
On December 16, 2024, Carol took part in the play My Core, performed in Puławy. The production delved into the experiences of foreigners adapting to life in a new country, exploring themes of identity, cultural differences, courage, and building relationships. The play, performed in English with Polish subtitles, was the result of collaboration among the theatrical team, inspired by real stories of foreigners living in Lublin.
Directed and written by Paulina Prokopiuk, the performance allowed Carol to act alongside other talented cast members, bringing her unique perspective and emotions to the stage.
Carol exemplifies that university life can be a time not only for academic growth but also for self-discovery. Her artistic activities demonstrate the value of seeking passions beyond academics, sharing talents, and becoming an active part of the local community.
We are proud of individuals like Carol – students who combine education with passion, inspire others, and bring unique value to our community.
