For the fifteenth time, the President of Lublin invites students and graduates to participate in a competition for the best thesis. The dissertation can be defended at any university and in any field of study, but the topic should relate to the broadly understood development of the City of Lublin or its metropolitan area.
The thematic scope of the work may include economic, social, spatial, cultural, tourist and environmental issues. It is important that the research relates to Lublin or the Lublin Metropolitan Area, taking into account the benefits that the development of the municipalities in this area brings to the city.
‘We encourage you to participate in the competition, which is very popular every year. We look forward to receiving innovative proposals. We welcome each submission, as it allows us to learn more about young people’s perspective on the development of Lublin and its metropolitan area. We would like the most interesting ideas to inspire the local government to take action,’ said Barbara Kostecka-Wiącek, project coordinator from the Strategy and Investor Services Department of Lublin City Hall.
Bachelor’s, master’s, engineering and doctoral theses, including projects, can be submitted to the competition. The deadline for submissions is 15 September 2024. The main prize is PLN 6,000. The winning works may also influence the decisions made by the Lublin local government.
In this year’s edition, works defended no earlier than 2021 will be considered. The competition documentation can be delivered in several ways:
- In person: to the secretariat of the Department of Strategy and Investor Services of the Lublin City Hall, 2 Spokojna Street (2nd floor, room no. 278); 20-074 Lublin.
