From Friday to Sunday, our University presented its offer during the Lublin Hobby & Business Festival, which took place at Targi Lublin. It was three days full of demonstrations, but also of inspiring meetings, talks and exchanges of experience.
At our stand, instructors from VPU’s Medical Simulation Centre presented demonstrations of lifeguarding, first aid, and also took sugar and blood pressure measurements. In addition, PhD Ewelina Szkutnicka, Head of the Dietetics Department at VPU gave advice on dietetics and the major itself, and Magdalena Józefczuk, president of VPU Student Government and a student of Physiotherapy, gave all those willing a business massage.
For three days, we also presented the rich educational offer of our university, and on the last day of the Festival, in a panel discussion entitled ‘Buy and live consciously’, PhD Jerzy Wójcik from VPU’s Department of Tourism and Hospiltality Management talked about, among other things, the popularity of studying Dietetics and career prospects.
‘The European quality label is a guarantee of top-class products. One example is our Lubelski Cebularz, which is on the list of certified traditional products alongside such specialities as Greek feta cheese. As you can see, we have nothing to be ashamed of, and our knowledge should also follow. As lecturers in Dietetics at Vincent Pol University, we emphasise a solid foundation starting with sound knowledge,’ stressed lecturer Wójcik.
