Shortly after the Easter holidays, on Wednesday 10 April, an Open Day will be held at our University. We have planned not only a presentation of our faculties, but also plenty of attractions. Come and join us!
Vincent Pol University has a wide range of undergraduate as well as graduate programmes, these are:
- Physiotherapy (long cycle studies),
- Nursing (first and second cycle studies),
- Midwifery (first cycle studies),
- Beauty Science (first and second cycle studies),
- Tourism and Recreation (first and second cycle studies),
- Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics (first and second cycle studies),
- International Business Management (first and second cycle studies),
It is these programmes that we will be presenting in detail during the Open Day at our University. It will be an opportunity to learn about the study programme, talk to lecturers of a particular course, as well as students who will share their impressions. Questions from visitors will be answered by staff from our Recruitment Office, members of the Student Government, as well as VPU staff dealing with the Erasmus+ programme.
Everyone will be able to experience first-hand what studying at our University is like.
Thus, visitors will have the opportunity to see the real practical classes that take place at the Beauty Science faculty. Beauty Science students will present a variety of care and beauty treatments, such as sonophoresis, manual skin cleansing using selected forms of physical energy, kinesiotaping in podiatry and making individual orthoses from silicone mass. There will also be a business make-up demonstration.
Another highlight of the Open Day will be demonstrations of therapeutic exercises, a demonstration of physical therapy equipment, a demonstration of therapeutic massage and drainage, as well as a demonstration of manual therapy, special techniques such as Kinesiology taping.
On that day, the Medical Simulation Centre will open its doors to visitors, where they will be able to see state-of-the-art laboratories for practising nursing and midwifery skills, as well as simulation rooms for resuscitation procedures. Those interested will have the opportunity to take part in, among other things, a breast self-examination demonstration, as well as a first aid demonstration. On top of this, everyone will be able to see how advanced simulators are used for a variety of medical procedures and feel as if they are in a real hospital.
Visitors will also see a demonstration of synchronised waiter service, learn how to set a table properly or see a hotel reception stand. For motoring fans, we will be presenting a touring motorbike, and for all those interested, themed competitions and tasty surprises.
It does not end there. For sports enthusiasts, and not only, VPU students will present themselves in ju-jitsu, kickboxing or rugby demonstrations. It is worth remembering that our students play in the second rugby league in the Vincent Pol University Budowlani II Lublin team.
Everyone will also be able to try their hand at economic quizzes and quizzes testing their knowledge of English.
During the Open Day at our University , there will be presentations by the Academic Centre for Therapy and Integral Development. There will be animal therapy workshops, as well as demonstrations featuring dogs used in therapy with patients.
