VPU students on a visit to the town of Krasnobród

Last Wednesday, students from the Vincent Pol University travelled to the heart of the Roztocze National Park. They visited students from the School Complex in Krasnobród encouraging them to learn English and study at our University.

Our students told the students from Krasnobród about their cultures and traditions, as well as cultural differences. The young people listened with interest to these stories, asked lots of questions and wanted to learn as much as possible about the customs in other countries.

It was amazing time and I enjoyed alot exchanging culture with people in the school, they were communicating and I’d like to repeat it again,

says Asmaa, VPU physiotherapy student

The students of School Complex in Krasnobrod were also very satisfied.

The meeting was great. I didn’t even expect that there are so many different cultures and so many different countries that respect their traditions,

says one of the students, Agnieszka.

She was echoed by her schoolmate, Michał:

It was wonderful. It’s an opportunity to meet nice people from other cultures and other countries, so we can expand our horizons, find out things that puzzle us and see Poland from a foreigner’s perspective. At the same time, we can develop our English language skills. I highly recommend it,

encourages Michał.

Students socialised with VPU students, talked, joked, exchanged information and personal feelings.

Elżbieta Działa, school headmaster of the School Complex in Krasnobród, emphasised that although we live in a time of free access to information, meeting face-to-face with students from different regions was an extraordinary experience.

The students showed great warmth not only for our country, but also for our small Krasnobród community. In the future, I look forward to further cooperation with the university and to organising more meetings because, as I said at the beginning, this is an exciting event for us,

assesses headmaster Elżbieta Działa.

We were very happy to meet with the students of the school in Krasnobrod. They were very interested and actively participated in the presentations. We hope to meet them again in the spring, during the Open Days at our university,

summed up the visit by the Head of the Department of English Philology, PhD Przemysław Terejko, Professor at VPU.
