VPU students on the podium of the Polish Academic Triathlon Championships

VPU physiotherapy students Dawid Łach and Anasasiia Reutova competed in the Polish Academic Championships last weekend.

400 male and 160 female competitors took part in the competition. Dawid Łach achieved a result of 560 kg and took fifth place in the general classification in the 74 kg weight category. In addition, this achievement allowed him to stand on the top step of the podium in the University Type classification.

Meanwhile, Anastasiia Reutova, with an impressive 360kg, placed sixth overall in the 69kg weight category. In the University Type classification, she came second.

I won second place among universities,” says Anastasiia Reutova proudly. I trained hard before the competition, but I didn’t give up and won with myself. Now is the time to recover and rest, and then to achieve new challenges. I am physically and mentally tired, but it was a wonderful experience. I have also learnt lessons and I think there is still a lot of work ahead of me. I don’t know what the next competition will be like, but I know that next year my results will be better. The road to success is not a sprint, it’s a marathon,” concludes Anastasia.

We warmly congratulate our athletes and wish them continued success in their sporting careers.
